Powys and Ceredigion Health Promotion and NPHS conducted a pilot Community Food and Nutrition Programme in Ystradgynlais between April 2004 and July 2007.
In 2006, the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) was commissioned to conduct a baseline study on food education provision in Welsh schools.
The Food Standards Agency in Wales (which receives its funding from the Welsh Assembly Government) does not generally engage in the direct commissioning of research. FSA Wales seeks to ensure that Welsh issues are addressed in the context of the Food Standards Agency's UK-wide research and surveillance programme.
