Cinderella, the Ugly Sister and the Fairy Godmother will be battling against 'Mr E' (E-Coli), 'Liz' (Listeria) 'Sal' (Salmonella) in their Wacky Kitchen every day of the Anglesey Show next week, as the Food Standards Agency Wales brings its unique mix of food hygiene and healthy eating advice to Gwalchmai.
Performances of the pantomime, where Cinderella battles to overcome a variety of food hygiene horrors before attending the royal ball, will run throughout each day of the show.
This is the first time that the Food Standards Agency Wales has taken part in the Anglesey Show and the event promises to be an excellent opportunity to promote key messages about food safety and diet in an entertaining way. The Agency’s education resource at stand 61 includes a variety of interactive games as well as advice on the full range of Agency activity.
Visitors are invited to try their luck on the interactive computer games promoting food safety and the benefits of a balanced diet. Youngsters can choose from the barbecue game, the breakfast bar challenge or the 'five a day' diet game Bananageddon, part of the 'Gimme 5' CD-Rom recently launched by First Minister Rhodri Morgan and endorsed by world record hurdler Colin Jackson.
