The list of 2007/08 classifications for shellfish harvesting areas around Scotland.
The classification of shellfish harvesting areas in Scottish waters for 2007 can be found at the link below. This document has been finalised following the appeals process, which is now complete for this year. The document provides local authorities with all current shellfish harvesting area details.
The classification document is divided into each local authority. The details of each production area for each local authority are then stipulated, with any declassified production areas being noted in a separate report. The declassification report can be found at the link below.
Each production area has been provided with a Site Identification Number (SIN). It is essential that this number and a grid reference point to the accuracy of 10 metres are used on all laboratory sample submission forms. This will assist in managing sample results.
