The Food and Environment Protection Act 1985

Part I of the Act empowers Ministers to make emergency orders where they consider that circumstances exist, or may exist which are likely to cause a hazard to human health through consumption of contaminated food.

Radioactive contamination of foodstuffs and feeding stuffs regulations (Scotland)

Fixes the maximum permitted levels for radioactive contamination of foodstuffs and feeding stuffs following a nuclear accident or radiological emergency made under Article 31 of the EC Treaty.

Radioactivity in foodstuffs and feedingstuffs originating from third countries regulations (Scotland)

Fixes the maximum permitted levels for radioactivity in foodstuffs and feeding stuffs originating from third countries (following the accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station) made under Article 113 of the EC Treaty.
