R02004: Optimon T, Development of a software programme for a computer-based decision-aiding tool to optimise monitoring resources.

This research project aims to produce a software tool to guide decision-makers on the sampling of various types of foods produced around nuclear sites.

R02008: Statistics of radiological monitoring results - how to deal with sets of data where some are below detection limits

This research project aims to investigate techniques to improve estimates of exposure to radioactivity in foods.

R02011: Seasonal variations in radionuclide concentrations in crabs and lobsters

This research project aims to examine the extent of seasonal variations in radionuclide concentrations in crabs and lobsters and recommend the best sampling period.

R02012: Assessment of UK laboratory performance: tritium in fish and milk

This research aims to compare the ability of different laboratories to measure tritium accurately (a radioactive isotope of hydrogen) in two types of food.

R02013: Radioactivity in uncommon seafood

This research project aims to measure the radioactivity in edible but uncommonly consumed seafood.

R02015: The radiological significance of farmed fish

This research project aims to investigate the possibility that farmed fish might contain higher levels of a naturally-occurring radioactive substance than wild fish.
