A Healthy Eating Indicator Shopping Basket (HEISB) of 35 indicator healthy foods was designed to investigate the availability and cost of healthy foods and was employed in 9 sample areas (sentinels) related to axes of urban-rural situation and affluent-deprived conditions. Detailed data were collected from 466 shops in these sentinels.
