Asda withdraws certain batches of own brand Salt and Vinegar, Variety and Boxed Crisps due to a manufacturing error resulting in incorrect allergen information

Due to a manufacturing error, certain batches of the products mentioned above contain trace amounts of wheat/gluten in the salt and vinegar flavouring of Asda own brand crisps, available in various multi-packs, which are not declared on the label. Therefore, these products are unsuitable for those allergic or intolerant to wheat or gluten.

Asda 50 Box Crisps
Best Before 9 Oct 10

Action taken by the company:

The company has withdrawn the affected products and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal. Notices are being displayed in all stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the withdrawal and the actions they can take if they have purchased the affected products. No other Asda products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers:

Customers with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten are advised not to eat these products.
