Risk

The above product contains milk, which is labelled in the ingredients list only as sodium caseinate without additional reference to ‘milk’. This makes the product a potential health risk for people who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.

Brand: Grace

Name: Coconut Milk powder/ Leche de Coco en polovo

Size: 50g weight individual foil pack sachets. The product is also supplied to some premises in a multi-pack containing three foil pack sachets of 50g.

Batch number: B/NO: 52619R

Best before: APR 2011

Use: the product is a powder to be mixed with water

Action taken by the company

The company has supplied this product to the UK market since October 2009. The company is voluntarily withdrawing the product from sale and over-stickering it with correct allergen labelling. The allergy support organisations have been informed.

No other Grace Foods products are known to be affected

Advice to consumers

Customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents are advised not to eat or drink this product.
