Cross-contamination with milk of Cadbury Chunks Bournville

Risk:

One batch code of the above product has been found to contain milk protein, which is not an intended ingredient. This makes the product a potential health risk for people who are allergic to or intolerant of milk or milk constituents.

Cadbury Chunks Bournville 180g
(used for cooking and baking)

Action taken by the Company:

The product has been distributed by Premier Foods Group under licence. The product has been delisted since December 2009 and is no longer being manufactured. Premier Foods Group has contacted retailers and will be issuing allergy alert notices to inform the allergic consumers of the issue and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product. A copy of the allergy alert notice issued by Premier Foods Group is attached to this allergy alert. In addition, Premier Foods Group will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations who will inform their at risk members of the withdrawal.

No other Cadbury Bournville products are known to be affected.
