Asda withdraws one date code of frozen Spaghetti Bolognaise due to a packaging error resulting in incorrect allergen labelling information

Packs of the above product may contain Bangers and Mash instead of Spaghetti Bolognaise due to a packing error. Therefore the product contains milk and barley, which are not declared on the label. This makes the product a potential health risk for people who are allergic or intolerant to milk or barley.

Action taken by the company

Asda has withdrawn the affected date code from sale. In addition, the company has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal. Notices will be displayed in all stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the withdrawal, and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product.

No other Asda products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers

Customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk and/or barley are advised not to consume this product.
