KTC (Edibles) Ltd withdraws a batch of Golden Tropics Cocoyam Fufu Flour and Plantain Fufu Flour due to incorrect allergen labelling information

Allergen: Sodium Bisulphite (Sulphites)

Plantain Fufu Flour

Risk:

A batch of the above products contains sodium bisulphite, which is inadequately declared on the labels. This makes these products a potential health risk for people who are sensitive to sulphites.

Best Before Date: Aug 2013
Product: Plantain Fufu Flour, 680g
Brand: Golden Tropics
Best Before Date: Mar 03 2014

Action taken by the Company:

KTC (Edibles) Ltd is withdrawing the affected batches from sale and has been asked to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at risk members of the withdrawal.

No other KTC (Edibles) Ltd products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers:

Customers who are sensitive to sulphites are advised not to consume these products.
