Risk

The above product contains peanut oil, which is not declared on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information. The product is, therefore, a potential health risk for individuals with an allergy to peanuts.

Action taken by the company

Lakenham Creamery Ltd has withdrawn the affected batches. In addition, the company has also contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal. Notices will be displayed in all stores to alert consumers to the reasons for the withdrawal, and the actions they can take if they have purchased the product. No other Lakenham Creamery Ltd products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers

Customers who are allergic to peanuts are advised not to eat this product.
