The above product contains sulphites as an ingredient which is not declared on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information. The product is, therefore, a potential health risk for individuals with sensitivity to sulphites.

Action taken by the company

Paxton & Whitfield has withdrawn the affected batch from sale. In addition Paxton & Whitfield will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal.

No other Paxton & Whitfield products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers

Customers who are sensitive to sulphites are advised not to eat this product.
