BP Retail UK withdraws one date code of Wild Bean Café Ham, Cheese & Pickle Sandwiches due to the presence of undeclared egg

Risk

Due to a manufacturing fault, one date code of the above product contains egg mayonnaise, which is not declared on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information. The product is, therefore, a potential health risk for individuals with an allergy to egg.

Action taken by the company

BP Retail UK has withdrawn the affected batch from sale. In addition BP Retail UK will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal.

Advice to consumers

Customers who are allergic to egg are advised not to eat this product.
