Marks & Spencer withdraws its Cook! Haddock & Hake Fish Cakes due to incorrect allergen information

Some of the packs of the above product contain a sachet of soya sauce (instead of the intended tomato sauce). The soya ingredient is not declared on the label, resulting in incorrect allergen information. Therefore, it is a potential health risk for soya allergic individuals.

Action taken by the company

Marks & Spencer has withdrawn all the affected stock from sale and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their at risk members of the withdrawal. Marks & Spencer has also published details (attached below) of the withdrawal on its website.

No other Marks & Spencer products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers

Customers with a soya allergy are advised not to eat this product.
