Risk

The affected products contain sulphur dioxide, which is not declared on the label. This makes the product a potential health risk for individuals who are sensitive to sulphur dioxide.

Products

Various Shaws of Huddersfield 1889 Yorkshire Chutneys containing Apricots (listed below).

Action taken by the company

Shaws of Huddersfield Ltd has withdrawn all affected stock from sale and informed their customers, and provided them with withdrawal notices and corrected food labelling. In addition, the company has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations which will inform their at-risk members of the withdrawal.

Advice to consumers

Customers with sensitivity to sulphur dioxide are advised not to consume these products.
