Sainsbury’s Luxury Belgian Plain Chocolate
The above product has been found to contain a milk constituent (casein), which is not declared on the label. This makes the product a potential health risk for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.
Sainsbury’s has recalled its Luxury Belgian Plain Chocolate. Point-of-sale notices have been displayed in stores to alert consumers to the reason for the recall and actions they can take if they have purchased the affected product. In addition, the company has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, who will inform their at-risk members of the recall.
No other Sainsbury’s products are known to be affected

We are recalling our own-brand luxury plain Belgian chocolate because it contains traces of milk protein that are not declared on the label. This means the product is not suitable for customers with milk allergies.
If you have any at home and are at all concerned, please bring it back for a full refund.
Please note that this product is safe for those who are not allergic to milk. No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
