Twinings Luxury Chocolate Drink 220g

Risk

There is a possibility that milk may get into the product during its manufacture and this has not been indicated on the label. Although the product is intended to be prepared and consumed with milk, the absence of an allergy advisory statement may make this product unsafe for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.

Action taken by the Company

R Twining & Company Ltd has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected product. Customers have also been made aware of this issue. (A copy of the point of sale notice is attached to this allergy alert). In addition, R Twining & Company Ltd has contacted the Anaphylaxis Campaign and Allergy UK who will inform their at risk allergic members of the withdrawal.

No other Twinings products are known to be affected

Advice to consumers

The company is advising consumers with a milk allergy not to consume this product but to return it to the store where they purchased it for a full refund.
