Magic Foods withdraws all batches of Banana Flavour Ice Lolly due to the presence of undeclared milk

Because of a labelling error, the above product contains milk, which is not clearly indicated on the label. This makes the product unsafe for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to milk or milk constituents.

Action taken by the company

Magic Foods distributes this product direct to ice cream vans and has contacted their customers and has asked them to return the product to the supplier. Point-of-sale notices have been displayed and a press article will be printed in the South London Press on Friday 20 April. The Anaphylaxis Campaign and Allergy UK have been informed and have put a notice on their websites.

No other Magic Foods products are known to be affected.

Advice to consumers

Customers with an allergy or intolerance to milk or lactose are advised not to consume this product.
