To help stop the rise in food poisoning in the over 60s caused by the food bug listeria, the Food Standards Agency Northern Ireland, safefood and district councils in Northern Ireland have produced a game packed with hygiene messages. The game is called 'Beat the Bingo Bug!'
The Eat Safe award was devised in Northern Ireland and began in June 2003. It was subsequently launched in Scotland in January 2005.

This guide will help catering businesses to produce a food safety management plan based on HACCP principles and to keep records appropriate to their business.
