Open meeting of Welsh Food Advisory Committee: 22 July 2010

If you have an interest in food and food production in Wales, you are invited to attend the Welsh Food Advisory Committee open meeting at the Royal Welsh Showground on Thursday 22 July 2010.

Attendees will be able to share their views and participate in an open question and answer session.

This meeting will include a themed discussion on primary production, with presentations on tuberculosis (TB) in cattle and the splitting of sheep carcasses to remove spinal cord as specified risk material. An update will also be provided on skin-on sheep meat, food chain information (FCI), charging for meat hygiene official controls and other relevant topics.

The meeting will be held at the Hospitality Pavilion, Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, LD2 3SY. Registration and coffee are available from 09.50am, with a prompt start at 10.15am.
