Consultation meeting on hygiene standards in food businesses in Scotland

The Food Standards Agency Scotland is to hold a meeting with stakeholders about the current 'Scores on the Doors' consultation on Tuesday 24 June 2008 in Glasgow.

A consultation exercise was issued on 20 May 2008 and includes two options for consideration. Firstly, the Food Hygiene Information Scheme, which has been piloted by five Scottish local authorities in partnership with the Agency and a stakeholder steering group since 6 November 2006 or, alternatively, a three star, plus fail (four tier) system. The consultation documents can be found at the link below.

Details of the meeting

The meeting will be held at the Ramada Glasgow City Hotel, 201 Ingram Street, Glasgow G1 1DQ, with a light lunch from 12.30 -13.00 followed by short presentations and discussion until15.45pm aimed at taking views from the audience.
