SMA Nutrition has recalled some SMA Progress Follow-on Milk Powder (900g) because of reports of compacted lumps in the product. The Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.

SMA Nutrition has recalled the affected batch and, as an additional precaution, the batch before it. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed at shops that sell the product and notices have been issued in the national press today, Thursday 19 June. These notices explain why the product has been recalled and suggest that anyone who has bought the milk powder call SMA on 0800 089 0075.

Food Alerts

If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be 'withdrawn' (taken off the shelves) or 'recalled' (when customers are asked to return the product).
