Sainsbury's has withdrawn certain batches of their breakfast cereal selection packs due to the presence of small insects within the product. The Agency has issued a Food Alert for Information.

The company has withdrawn the affected batches and point-of-sale notices will be displayed in stores to notify the public of the withdrawal. The notice advises consumers of the reason for the withdrawal and explains that if they have bought the affected product, they can return it to the store for a full refund. Sainsbury's breakfast cereal selection packs

Best before Feb 2008 and Mar 2008 only

These products have been removed from sale because small insects have been found in some batches of the honey nut cornflake pack.

If you have purchased this product, please dispose of the contents and return the packaging to your nearest Sainsbury’s for a full refund.

No other products or date codes are affected. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
