GM rice incident review

Monday 5 November 2007

Following the incident involving the unauthorised GM rice, LLRICE601, in 2006, and the Judicial Review* in February 2007, the Agency is conducting a review of the incident.

The review will consider the views of stakeholders directly involved in the incident and the points made by the judge when he ‘stopped the clock’ at specific times during the judgment.

The FSA would like to hear the views of a wide range of stakeholders and for these to be considered at the review meeting, which will take place at The Mothers’ Union, Mary Sumner House, 24 Tufton Street, London SW1P 3RB at 2pm on Thursday 29 November.

Comments should be submitted, using the feedback form at the link below, in advance of the meeting and emailed to the email address below by Monday 19 November.

If you would like to attend the meeting, please notify the FSA by Monday 19 November by emailing GMconsult@foodstandards.gsi.gov.uk or by calling 020 7276 8566.

Confirmation of attendance and an agenda will be forwarded to attendees in advance of the meeting.
