about us
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has today introduced a new update training course for local authority food law enforcement officers on food and nutritional labelling. Further dates for the food standards update course are now available also.
The introduction of this new update training course for enforcement officers follows stakeholder feedback from a review of FSA food standards courses and a successful pilot course.
This is a one-day course and is a more advanced course, complimenting the current food labelling course run by ABC Food Safety. Courses will be delivered by Eurofins.
The course is provided as part of the Agency’s low cost training programme and is restricted to local authority officers only. The course is not available to the general public, students or consultants.
It is expected, on average, that no more than one place will be allocated to any local authority and each course will be available to officers from neighbouring groups.
Local Food Liaison Groups are invited to apply for the training to be provided in their area
Further details about the course and an application form can be found at the link below.
Food standards update training is available to enforcement officers. The course is part of continuing professional development training for enforcers at a cost that is affordable to local authorities.
The Agency will be holding the second of their biannual residential update courses this year for officers with responsibility for enforcement of food labelling, standards and feedingstuffs legislation at the Hilton hotel in Swindon from 13–15 November 2007. The course will cover similar issues from that held in Leeds earlier this year.
The course is not available to the general public, students or consultants.
Topics to be covered include:
