April 2008 update on food hygiene legislation

This update deals with developments of the Commission's proposal in March 2007 to exempt from the requirement for food safety management procedures based on HACCP certain types of micro businesses.

Further developments on the negotiation of this proposal, following its consideration by the Environment Committee of the European Parliament are reported below.
