European Council Directive 95/69/EC introduced a system for the approval and registration of feed establishments (premises) that manufacture, market or use certain additives and protein products, and for the register to be made publicly available.
This directives has been replaced by the EC Feed Hygiene Regulation (183/2005), but the register remains in force.
The attached national list of UK approved establishments has been compiled from lists sent to the Agency by local authorities in Great Britain (GB) and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Northern Ireland.
In Great Britain, feed business sectors which use, market or manufacture specified feed additives (e.g. coccidiostats, histomonostats and non-antibiotic growth promoters) require approval by the Animal Medicines Inspectorate (AMI) which is part of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD). The AMI's list of approved establishments which represents the majority of approved premises (carrying out activities as outlined above) can be found at the link below.
