Tesco Stores Ltd withdraws two date codes of own brand wholegrain brown rice due to possible contamination with insects

The public will wish to be aware that Tesco Stores Ltd is withdrawing two batches of their own brand wholegrain brown rice due to possible contamination with insects.

Tesco has withdrawn the affected batches from sale and will be issuing shelf notices in its stores. These notices will advise customers to contact the Customer Service Desk to find out the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product.

The product withdrawn is:

Tesco wholegrain brown rice, 1kg

Best Before Dates: 15/09/11 and 16/09/11
No other Tesco Stores Ltd products are known to be affected.
