Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd has recalled one date code of Sainsbury’s Frozen Thin & Crispy Vegetable Stonebake Pizza, due to small pieces of metal being found within the base of the product.

Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd has recalled the affected date code. Product recall notices will appear in all Sainsbury’s stores. These notices will alert customers to the recall and advise them of what actions to take if they have purchased the product.

The product recalled:

Sainsbury’s Frozen Thin & Crusty Vegetable Stonebake Pizza
Pack size: 312 g
Best before end: Feb 2010

No other Sainsbury’s products are known to be affected.

Sainsbury’s Frozen Thin & Crispy Vegetable Stonebake Pizza 312g

Best before end FEB 2010 only

It has come to our attention that a small number of the above frozen pizza may contain small pieces of metal.

As a precautionary measure, we are asking all customers who have bought this product to return it to their nearest Sainsbury’s store, where they will get a full refund.

No other products or date codes are affected by this issue, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
