Walkers Snack Foods Ltd recalls certain date codes of Walkers Crisps due to potential rubber contamination

Walkers Snack Foods Ltd has recalled certain date codes of Walkers Crisps due to the possible presence of pieces of yellow rubber within the products.

Walkers Snack Foods Ltd has undertaken a product recall of all the affected batches. Product recall notices will appear in the National Press on 1 February 2008 and point-of-Sale Notices will be displayed at all retail outlets. These notices will advise customers of the reason for the recall and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected products.

The affected products are:

A variety of different flavours, sizes and pack formats are implicated. See below for details.

No other date codes or Walkers products are known to be affected.

Walkers Crisps and Walkers MAX
Best Before Dates – 15-03-08 and 22-03-08

We have been made aware that a small number of Walkers Crisps and Walkers MAX packs may contain pieces of yellow rubber. As a precautionary measure we are alerting consumers.

In the event that someone has a packet of Walkers Crisps and Walkers MAX containing a piece of rubber, we advise that they call our freephone helpline on 0800 274 777. Our helpline advisors will also be able to answer any questions people may have and arrange for a full refund.
