Asda Stores Ltd has undertaken a withdrawal of certain date codes of their own brand of variety cereal packs (6 mini packs), due to the presence of small insects within the product.
Asda has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected batches and point-of-sale notices have been displayed in stores to notify the public of the withdrawal as of 17 September 2007. The notice advises consumers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected product.
The product withdrawn is:
No other batch codes or Asda products are known to be affected.

What’s Happened?
We’ve discovered a small number of Asda Variety Cereal Packs that contain small insects within the product.
What You Should do?
We are asking anyone who has bought one of these packets of cereal to bring it back to their nearest store where they will be given a full refund. You don’t even need your receipt.
We sell a wide variety of cereal products but it's only the ones that we’ve described above that are affected.
