Ref: 34/2007 (Update 1) : 35/2007 (update 1) Scotland - For information

This is an update on an incident involving Welsh Country Foods Ltd recalling certain batches of lamb meat and offal due to the possible presence of veterinary medicine residues.

Food Alert for Action 34/2007, issued on 23 October 2007, outlined preliminary action required to be taken in relation to the above incident.

Additional information has been received on the use by dates of the products previously notified and Asda's revised point-of-sale notice is attached below.

Action to be taken by local authorities

None other than that indicated by the original Food Alert For Action 34/2007
