A Food Alert for Information 36/2007 was issued earlier today. United Biscuits has advised the Agency of additional products being recalled not notified in the original alert. The list of all potentially affected products is attached below. The action has been taken by the company as a precautionary measure.

United Biscuits will be issuing a product recall notice in the national press on Saturday 3 November 2007. This notice will advise consumers what actions they need to take should they have purchased the potentially affected products.

The products being recalled are:

No other batches or brand name products manufactured by United Biscuits are known to be affected.

Product Recall

As a precautionary measure the above products made by United Biscuits are being voluntarily recalled on food safety grounds due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal wire. The only products potentially affected are those with the date codes above, which are printed on the packs.

What you should do

Customers are asked to return any packs to the store they bought them from for a full refund.
