Quaker Oats Ltd withdraws a batch of Quaker Oats due to the presence of moth pupae and larvae within the product

Quaker Oats Ltd has undertaken a withdrawal of a batch of 750 cartons of their own brand 1kg boxes of 'Quaker Oats with free measuring cup' due to the presence of moth pupae and larvae within the product.

Quaker Oats has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected batch and point-of-sale notices will be displayed in relevant stores to notify the public of the withdrawal. The notice advises consumers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected product.

The product was distributed in the north of England to Tesco stores via their distribution depot in Middlewich, Cheshire, and Sainsburys stores via their distribution centre in Haydock, Merseyside, and has been removed from their shelves.

The product being withdrawn is:
Quaker Oats with free measuring cup 1kg cartons
Best Before 11/08/2007 221 (time stamp between 23:40 and 00:10 inclusive) W

No other codes or Quaker Oats products are known to be affected.
