New Primebake Ltd has recalled batches of Garlic and Speciality Bread products due to possible metal contamination.
The batches recalled were manufactured by New Primebake Ltd and packed under four brand names, Co-op, Sainsbury's, Tesco, and Waitrose. The source of the potential contamination has been identified and remedial action has been taken.
New Primebake Ltd has been working with the relevant retailers to ensure that potentially affected product is withdrawn from sale and consumers advised of the problem.
New Primebake Ltd has placed a Product Recall Notice in the national press today, 26 October 2006. This notice will inform consumers what actions they should take if they have purchased the products.
The recalled products and use by dates are shown in the product recall notice below.
No other batch codes or brand name products are known to be affected.

A copy of the Product Recall Notice issued by New Primebake Ltd is included in this Food Alert..
Due to the potential metal contamination in a number of products, the bread products listed below have been withdrawn from sale. New Primebake Ltd, in conjunction with the affected Retailers, requests that all customers who have purchased the product(s) return them to any store operated by the Retailers from where the product(s) were purchased.
A full refund will be given. No receipt is required
No other products are affected by this recall.
