Waitrose recalls a batch of its own brand Natural Cottage Cheese due to possible rubber contamination

Waitrose has recalled a batch of its own brand Natural Cottage Cheese 500g due to the possible presence of small pieces of rubber thought to have originated from a rubber seal.

Waitrose has undertaken a product recall of the affected batch. Product recall notices have appeared in the National Press on 3 November 2006 and point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all stores. These notices will advise customers of the reason for the recall and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product.

The affected product is:
Waitrose Natural Cottage Cheese 500g
Use by: 6 Nov 06

No other batch codes or pack sizes of this product are known to be affected.

Waitrose have provided a customer service line on 0800 188 884.

PRODUCT RECALL

Waitrose Natural Cottage Cheese 500g

Waitrose is taking the precautionary measure of recalling pots of Waitrose Natural Cottage (500g) due to the possible presence of pieces of a rubber seal.

The product affected has the following date code printed on the lid.

Use by 6th November

No other pack sizes or products are affected by this recall.

What you should do
This product should not be consumed and should be returned to any branch of Waitrose for a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
