Wm Morrison Supermarkets plc withdraws certain batches of its own brand Hot Cross Buns and Soft Sliced White Bread Baps due to possible metal contamination

Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc has withdrawn certain batches of its own brand Hot Cross Buns, 6 pack, and Soft Sliced White Bread Baps, 12 pack, due to the possible presence of small pieces of metal.

Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected batches. Point-of-sale notices have been placed in all stores. These notices advise customers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they can take if they have already purchased the affected product.

The affected products are:

All date codes up to and including 21 March 2006 are considered to be affected.

No other batches of Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc hot cross buns or white bread baps are known to be affected.

A copy of the point-of-sale notice issued by Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc is attached to this food alert.
