Product withdrawal of specific batch numbers of Willards smooth peanut butter due to high aflatoxin levels

Heads of Environmental Health and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware that Zambezi Foods has withdrawn Willards smooth peanut butter 375ml due to high aflatoxin levels.

The affected product was distributed as 12 x 375ml plastic jars with a yellow lid and was produced by Cairns Food Ltd of Zimbabwe.

Zambezi Foods issued a product withdrawal notice to their customers on 21 November. This is shown below.

Dear Customers,

Routine safety tests have identified the presence of high aflatoxin levels in two batches of the following product.

Willards Peanut Butter 12x375ml

Only these batches are affected.
Please arrange for the collection/return of affected products to our store for a refund or replacement.
