Waitrose withdraws two varieties of its own brand Traybake flapjacks due to contamination with metal fragments

Heads of Environmental Health and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware that Waitrose has withdrawn its own brand Traybake Fruity Flapjacks and Traybake Butter Flapjacks due to contamination with metal fragments.

As a precautionary measure Waitrose has withdrawn the two varieties of flapjacks from sale. Point-of-sale notices have been displayed in all stores to alert customers to the withdrawal and explain the actions to take if they have purchased the product. The Point-of-sale notices only refer to the best before dates known to have been affected.
