Food Alert: for Information
Ref: 76/2005 (75/2005 Scotland)
Iceland has withdrawn an affected batch of Cottage Pie (Chilled) 500g due to a packing error resulting in incorrect labelling information.
Some packs may contain lasagne and therefore do not show the correct ingredients or allergy advisory statement. They contain egg, which is not labelled as an ingredient, and not specified as an allergy warning, which makes this product unsafe for individuals who are allergic to or intolerant of egg.
Iceland has undertaken a full product withdrawal today. Customer in-store notices have been displayed at the entrance of the stores, in the windows and at the point of sale. In addition, Iceland has been in contact with the Anaphylaxis Campaign and Allergy UK who will inform all their egg allergic members of the withdrawal via a mail shot.
The product withdrawn is;
