Product withdrawal of Waitrose own brand diced turkey thighs contaminated with aluminium particles

Waitrose has withdrawn its own brand Diced Turkey Thighs 500g due to the presence of aluminium particles on the surface of product, caused by machinery failure.

The presence of these aluminium particles makes this product unsafe for human consumption.

Waitrose has undertaken a product withdrawal of the affected item. Point-of-sale notices have been placed in all stores as of 12/08/2005. The notice advises consumers of the reason for the withdrawal and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected product.

A few packs of this product have been found to contain small particles of aluminium from a machinery failure. Any customer who has purchased a pack of this code is asked to return it to Waitrose for refund.
