Heads of Environmental Health and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware that Supercook LLP has recalled Supercook Scotbloc, Plain Chocolate Flavour Cake Covering, 300g size, due to undeclared milk ingredients.
Milk products are not listed as an ingredient in the Plain Chocolate Flavour Cake Covering and as such it should not contain any milk products. The presence of milk products makes this item unsafe for individuals who are allergic to or intolerant to milk.
Supercook LLP has undertaken a full product recall. Product recall adverts are to be placed in the national press and a trade statement has been issued to its customers. In addition, Supercook LLP has been in contact with the Anaphylaxis Campaign who will inform all their milk allergic members directly via a mailshot of the recall.
The product recalled is:

Best Before End: May 06 to January 07
Code: 4334 to 5185
No other Supercook products are known to be affected

300g Plain Supercook Scotbloc Chocolate Flavour Cake Covering
Supercook is withdrawing supplies of the 300g Plain Scotbloc Chocolate Flavour Cake Covering, due to concerns that the item may contain milk or dairy ingredients which are not listed on the packaging. The product can be safely consumed by the majority of people but is unsuitable for people who are allergic or intolerant to cow�s milk and dairy products.
The production runs affected have Best Before dates between May 2006 – January 2007 and are numbered from 4334 to 5185. This information can be found on the top left hand corner on the front of the pack.
What should you do
If you are allergic or intolerant to cow�s milk and dairy products do not eat this product. For a full refund, please return the product and packaging to the store where purchased. Alternatively for a full refund (including postage), please send the product and packaging together with your name and address to:
