Inverawe Smokehouses, Taynuilt, Argyll have recalled a batch of smoked trout that may not be safe to consume due to a processing fault, which may allow bacterial growth to occur. The product is sold to retail outlets as well as to mail order customers. The product is sold throughout the UK.

The product has a 'use by' date of 5 November 2004. The company has undertaken a product recall and issued a press statement.
