Product recall of Morrisons soups

Heads of Environmental Health Services and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware of a product recall by Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC of four varieties of soup in 290g cans due to a seaming fault and subsequent post process contamination. The products were manufactured by Premier Foods (H.L.Foods Ltd) Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

The Products Recalled Are:

No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.

Morrisons have issued a product recall notice (see below) in national newspapers which will appear from today.

The company has also placed point-of-sale notices in all their stores.

Product recall issued by Morrisons

This only applies to the 290g can size.

Tests have identified a packaging fault, which may affect the high standard of the above canned soups. We are recalling these products as a precautionary measure.

These products should not be consumed. If you have bought any one of these items, please return it to your nearest Morrisons store for a full refund. No receipt is required.

NO OTHER MORRISONS SOUPS OR CANNED PRODUCTS ARE AFFECTED
