Tesco Fruit Muesli 1kg

Heads of Environmental Health Services and Directors of Trading Standards will wish to be aware of a product recall by Tesco of ‘Tesco Fruit Muesli 1kg’ due to inadvertent inclusion of nuts/seeds.This follows seven customer complaints of the presence of nuts in the product.

Tesco is issuing a press release and product recall notices (see below) should appear in national newspapers on Monday 19 May 2003. In addition, Tesco will be putting up point of sale notices in stores.

Tesco is taking the precautionary measure of recalling packs of TESCO Fruit Muesli, 1kg, due to inadvertent inclusion of nuts/seeds

The product affected has the following code printed on the back of the pack

Best before end DEC 2003

No other pack sizes or codes are affected by this recall

What You Should Do

Customers who have bought this product should return it to any Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required

Tesco apologise for any inconvenience caused

If Local Authorities receive queries from the public, they can be directed to call Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505555
