Product Recall Notice to be Issued by H J Heinz Ltd

BABY FOOD PRODUCT RECALL

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PARENTS WITH BABIES WHO ARE ALLERGIC OR INTOLERANT TO COW'S MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS

Heinz is announcing a voluntary recall of a number of its savoury baby food varieties because they contain trace amounts of milk in the recipe and are incorrectly labelled as milk-free.

Although these products can continue to be enjoyed by the majority of babies, they are unsuitable for the very small number of infants who are allergic or intolerant to cow's milk and dairy products. As a result, Heinz has decided to withdraw the following affected varieties:

From 4 months
Carrots & Lamb with Rosemary, from 4 months, 128g cans
Country Vegetables & Rice, from 4 months, 128g cans
Lancashire Hotpot, from 4 months, 128g jars
Organic Potatoes & Green Beans with Turkey, from 4 months, 125g jars

From 7 months
Organic Tomato & Beef Sauce for Pasta, from 7 months, 190g jars
Organic Vegetables & Lentils, from 7 months, 190g jars
Organic Vegetables & Turkey Pasta with Peppers, from 7 months, 190g jars

From 10 months
Sunday Lunch Garden Vegetables & Lamb, from 10 months, 250g jars

Only those varieties listed above are being withdrawn. These Heinz baby food varieties can continue to be enjoyed by babies who are not affected by an allergy or intolerance to cow's milk and dairy products. All other Heinz baby food varieties can continue to be used in complete confidence.

This only affects the Heinz baby food varieties listed above. No other Heinz baby food varieties are involved.

If you have any cans or jars of the affected varieties which you purchased because they were labelled as milk-free, please dispose of the contents. Please then return the product label, together with your name and address in block capitals, to Heinz at the address below. You will receive a voucher to cover the full value of the product.
