Mini Fruit Gel Sweets Containing Konjac Potential Choking Hazard

Category D : 'For Information only'. This Food Hazard Warning updates FHW 51/2001

The Food Standards Agency is now aware of further brands of mini gel sweets that may be of use in carrying out the action specified in FHW 51/2001. The brands are

New Century's Choice
Fuji Coconut Flavor Jelly
Jin Jin Konjac Coconut Mini Gel Snack

The following are thought to be manufacturers as brand names were not provided in English.

Mong Lee Shang (Produced in China)
Jian Fu Trading Co. (Produced in Taiwan)

The FSA has also received a number of queries from enforcement authorities regarding risk assessment information. This has been supplied as a confidential annex to this Food Hazard Warning and has been distributed on EHCNet and TSLink.
