Listen to this siteThis Scheme, prepared in accordance with the Welsh Language Act 1993, provides the Food Standards Agency with a further platform on which to continue building its commitment to putting the consumer first.
The Agency recognises that a large number of its consumers are Welsh language speakers and this Scheme outlines the measures the Agency will take when conducting its business through the medium of Welsh. Since its inception, the Agency has been committed to ensuring that it will treat the English and Welsh languages on an equal basis. It recognises, particularly in Wales, that for many,Welsh is the first language spoken. The principles outlined in this Scheme apply throughout the Agency as a whole.

Ein gobaith ni yw bod pobl yng Nghymru yn troi atom ni er mwyn cael cyngor a gwybodaeth ddibynadwy am fwyd. Mae ein dylanwad yn ymestyn 'o'r fferm i'r fforc' - mewn geiriau eraill, o'r adeg y mae'r bwyd yn cael ei dyfu neu ei weithgynhyrchu nes iddo gyrraedd eich plât. Rydym yn eich rhoi chi, ddefnyddwyr Cymru, yn gyntaf.
